Sarah Forsey was baptised on 27th March 1780 at Winsham in Somerset, daughter of Ann Forsey, formerly Sibley, and her husband James Forsey. Sarah appears to have been their youngest child.

Sarah has yet to be definitively traced after her baptism. One of the witnesses to her sister Mary's marriage in 1802, was a Sarah Forsey, which therefore may well be her.
