Sarah² Ensign was born in Scituate, Massachusetts, say 1650, which would make her only 15 when she was convicted of fornication in October, 1665, but she could not have been much older since she was bearing children as late as 1697 or 1698; her youth may be the reason that her mother charged that she had been enticed "vnseasonably."
