Clarke - At Milton, April 13, 1889, of Pneumonia, Mrs. Sally Davis, wife of Alvit Clarke, aged 87 yrs, 8 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Clarke, at the time of her death, was the oldest surviving member of the S. D. B. Church at Leonardsville, N. Y. She had been the mother of 10 children (8 sons and 2 daughters) of whom 6 sons and 2 daughters are still living, - Alburtus, S. J., and Wellington, of Milton, William of Brodhead, Henry of Edgerton, Mrs. W. P. Clarke and Mrs. Albert Barnhart of Milton, and Mr. Frank Clarke of Westerly, R. I. Deceased was a woman of excellent constitution, and worked hard and faithfully in earlier days to rear her large family, to whom she was fondly attached. The funeral services were held on Monday in the S. D. B. Church, and the large circle of friends attending attested the high esteem with which the family is regarded in this community.
