Marriage to Charles Rosedale

Sarah and Anna Claff each opened corset shops in Boston, and fought over who could use the name Madame Claff. Anna evidently won, since Sarah took the name Madame Sarah. One of them ended up on Fifth Avenue, NY. Sarah put Charles through medical school, and he later became well known in medicine in California. Madame SarAAH was on Newbury Street in Boston.
