   Her first husband was buried in the Barricklow cemetery near Rising Sun, Indiana. Sarah and her family followed her two brothers, Henry and Farrington to Kansas sometime after 1856. They lived near Rantoul, Kansas, 20 miles east of Ottawa. Daniel Johnson, son of Sarah and Henry Van Dyke Johnson was also a founder of Baker University at Baldwin, as was her brother Henry Barricklow.
