She was a daughter of Jonathan Barnes and Elizabeth Hedge. See her brother's record (John Barnes married Mary Bartlett).

She was seen living 27 Jun 1733. She marr. 2ndly in Plymouth 26 March 1723 John Sturtevant by whom she had a son, John. In 1715 Sarah Bartlett, wife of Benjamin and her children Nathaniel, Jonathan, Joseph, Benjamin, Hannah and Sarah were baptized in Plymouth. On 18 Jul 1718, Sarah Bartlett, widow, was appointed administratrix of the estate of Benjamin Bartlett of Plymouth. The inventory was taken May 1718. On 27 Jun 1733 a settlement of the estate was made between eldest son Nathaniel Bartlett, sons Benjamin, Joseph and Jonathan Bartlett; Sarah Sturtevant now wife of John Sturtevant Jr. of Plymouth who was widow of decd.; daus. Hannah Bartlett and Sarah Bartlett.
