Bedford Gazette Nov. 12, 1943 Samuel Way Samuel Way, 79, died Friday at his home in Fishertown. Mr. Way assisted a neighbor in husking corn and was taken ill while at work. He was removed to his home and died a short time later. A son of Cyrus and Elizabeth (Claycomb) Way, he was born here on January 11, 1864. He was twice married, his first wife Mrs. Clara (Miller) Way, having died in 1908. Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Lonie (Rininger) Way and two children, born to the first union - Cloyd Way and Mrs. Ella Hoover, both of Fishertown. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Albert Wolfe, Fishertown. Mr. Way was a member of the Friends Church at Fishertown. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jesse Oldham and Mrs. Harriet Francis in the Fishertown Reformed church Monday afternoon. Interment was in the Fishertown Cemetery under the direction of Vernon Geisel, Pleasantville mortician. References
