The Bedford Inquirer, Jan., 1902: Cyrus Way, well known throughout the county, died at his residence in East St. Clair, on Friday evening, after a brief illness, in his 79th year. Mr. Way was one of the old land marks of this community. His parents were among the first settlers in this part of the county, where he spent his entire life. He was an industrious and useful man in this community. He was a man of sterling integrity and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He had long been a consistent member of the Friends' Church from whose services he was rarely absent, unless as the result of sickness. He leaves four children to mourn his loss. His sons are Henry Way, of Harrisburg, S. B. Way, at home. His daughters are Mrs. Albert Wolf, of Near Fishertown and Mrs. G. Cleaver, of Clearfield county. Interment in the Spring Meadow cemetery.
