Son of John Waddington 1698 of Priestley Green, Hipperholme and of Wike, nr. Halifax. Had issue 7 sons--- John W., abt. 1741 Headingley, d. 1811, md. 1766; Joshua W. abt. 1743 Headingley, bd. there 1771; Joseph W., abt. 1744 Headingley, Samuel W., abt 1749 Headingley, bd. there 1795, md. 1790; William W., abt 1751 Headingley, bd. there 1807, md. 1781; Henry W., abt1752 Headingley, d. 1816, md. 1780; and Thomas W. abt 1760 Headingley bd. there 1760 Descended from Richard Wadyngton 1388 of Coley, Halifax.
