In the 1850 U. S. Census for Ohio, Loramie Township, Shelby County there was a Samuel and Adaline Tyler family which listed the children shown in this family group.

  3. .

Samuel and Adaline Tyler lived in Lake Township, Allen County in 1860 according to the 1860 census. The Daniel Welsheimer family lived near them (see the 1860 Indiana Census records). Nathan Tyler was on the 1860 Census as a 9 year old. Olive Welsheimer, Daniel's daughter was listed on the 1860 Census as a 2 year old. These two individuals would marry each other in 1877. I have no other proof that Samuel and Adaline Tyler are the parent's of Nathan but in my mind I think this is a true connection.
