Probably family ofson or son-in-law living in the house. There are two males age 20-30, one of whichappears to be married to the age 20-30 female. The other 20-30 male is believed tobe Thomas Matthew Summers who did not marry until 1845. Also, census taker showsSamuel's age as 70-80. Records indicate that Samuel would have been 69 and possibly somemonths when the 1840 census was taken.
