    "gunned down in front of his family in the guerilla style warfare that occurred around Mt. Pleasant Tennessee. He was supposedly the instigator of the notorious William F. Coffee Killing in Aug 1864, which may have sparked the killings of locals against local neighbor around Mt Pleasant."
