Saml. Moore's Will
I Samuel Moore of the County of Rockbridge and State of Virginia do hereby make my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first I desire that all the perishable part of my Estate be immediately sold after my decease and out of the moneys arising thereupon all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid the remainder after allowing my three sisters Mary Fulton, Sally Moore and Martha Moore what was left by my Father's will to them to be divided as follows: my Brother William to have one third and the other two thirds to be divided equally between my Mother and three sisters except one Black mar[e] which I give to my Mother.
Secondly I leave to my mother a support of the plantation during her natural life and after her decease I direct it to be sold and the moneys arising therefrom the one third I bequeath to my Brother William and the other two thirds I bequeath to my three sisters, Mary, Polly and Martha to be equally divided between them to them my Brother and Sisters and their heirs forever and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my Brother William Moore, Hugh Fulton and Robert Moore Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or Testaments by me heretofore made.
In Witness of __ hereunto set my hand and afixed my seal twenty third day of August in the year Eighteen hundred and seven.

A writing purporting the last Will and Testament of Samuel Moore deceased was produced in Court by William More and Robert Fulton two of the Executors therein named and proved by the oath of David Wilson, William Moore and Thomas Mitchell three of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded and on the ___ of said Executors who made oath according to law probate is granted them of the said wtien? onj giving Bond ___ security and they together with John Moore, David Wilson and Thomas Mitchell their securities entered and acknowledged Bond in the amount of $5,000 conditioned according to Law.
