Arrived on the "Rockingham" 14/5/1830. Samuel spent two years in Fremantle goal. He died from a bullock kick while working on a farm. Died 1849 at Guildford aged 65.

MARTIN Samuel b 1786 Arr. per "Rockingham" on 14.5.1830 with his wife Rebecca b 1785 and three children. Robert, b 1823, Simon b 1824 and Henry b 1826. Wife Rebecca died in July 1830 at Fremantle aged 45. Family was mentioned in the 1837 census in the Perth District.

On 18.11.1840 was named for non payment of location fees on Perth lot W7.

in 1841 was living near the Church of England at Upper Swan and on 28.6.1841 Samuel was in prison.

He was convicted of rape of a young girl

He petitioned for clemency supported by parishioners of the Upper Swan Church.

On 26.1.1842 son Robert lost Guildford town lot 35 for non payment of location dues.

Samuel Martin died in Guildford Western Australia (Source: Justice Department W.A. age 65 - Kicked by a bullock.
