1850 census-PA-Schuylkill-Pottsville-Samuel Lilly; living in a boarding house; 36; moulder [I think this pertains to soap and candle making]; Lucinda; 35; Sarah; 14; Delia; 12; Oliver; 9; Anna; 3; John; 5 mos. Others in the boarding house are: Samuel Dickerson, 25, a teamster; Agnes Morrison, 25, male, laborer; Matthew Hay, 17, moulder; Frederick Harris, 18, finisher; Ann Carlins, 19. The next household is John Lilly, 58, moulder. This could be Samuel's father. Sarah, 57; Elizabeth, 39. This could be Samuel's sister. Sarah Jane, 14, probably Elizabeth's child. 1860 census-PA-Schuylkill-Port Carbon-Samuel Lilley; 46; moulder; real estate $1000; personal estate $200; Lucinda; 45; Oliver; 19; moulder; Deliah; 22; seamstress; Anny; 13; Samuel; 9; Eliza; 6; Sophia Aulburn; 22; servant; born Biron Germany. Everyone else is listed as born in PA. The household before Samuel is Catherine Shissler, 40 with Edward, 13 and Mary, 11. I think this could be the William C Shissler's family but where is William and there is also an 1860 census that shows Mary, 12 living with Henry and Anna Shissler. Both census are in Port Carbon..... References
