Excerpt from Bill Herlihy's 10 Aug 01 History of Hannah Maria Johnson Herlihy, p 9-10:
" Sam Johnson was more mobile than his married brothers. In Galveston, Texas, he was a bricklayer on the Daily News Building. Construction began in 1883 or 1884...Sam lived in Dennison, Texas about 1883? to 1885?" (p.9)
" Sam Johnson was back in the States in 1897. It is likely he last saw Hannah that year, but overlooked it in his letter. He was job hunting, but the 'construction cycle' was in the downswing. He returned to Moscow, Russia, in November 1897." (p.10)
