Information on Samuel Glass, Jr.
From "Pioneers of Old Frederick Country, Virginia", by Cecil O'dell, pg. 305:
Samuel Glass, Jr. (probably the son of Samuel Glass, b. 1690c) had 200 acres on drains of Opequon Creek "where Samuel Jr. lives" surveyed by John Baylis (surveyor for Lord Fairfax) on 12 March 1750/51. He received a Fairfax grant for the 200-acre tract on 7 November 1754. After he had moved to Augusta County, Virginia, Samuel, Jr. sold the 200 acres to James David Vance for 125 pounds on 3 January 1770.
