April 1665, signed receipt for wife's full portion of Simon Hoyt's estate he also signed agreement of 1674 regarding the estate. This agreement was also signed by Abram Finch.
October 14th 1669, Samuel Finch of Stamford propounded for "freeman".
June 24th 1675, Abraham Finch of Stamford sold to Samuel Finch of saying, witness John Finch and Jeremiah Andrews.
March 4th 1683, Samuel Finch witness to sale, Abraham Finch to John Finch, Stamford.
December 3rd 1686, Samuel Finch of Stamford, conveyed to brother Abraham of same.
January 1701, Samuel Finch on list showing worth of inhabitants of Stamford.
Will of Samuel Finch of Stanford dated 28th September 1697, mentions wife Sarah; sons Samuel and Joseph; daughters Sarah Holly, Susanna Seeley, and Rachael Finch. Inventory taken May 20, 1698. Widow Sarah to administer, with advice of Mr. Abraham Ambler and Mr. Samuel Hait.
Sarah Finch of Stamford, widow, being deceased, Joseph Finch appointed administrator July 1, 1713.
Deed dated Stanford September 28th 1697.
" To my son Samuel Finch, house, barn and lot he now lives upon **** as his property and interest and all the land near Toilsome Brook and all my (?) of ye run in ye north field and my long lot of land upon Shiphand and all my outlets except *** it is understood that half my salt meadows in ye east field shall be said Samuel's.
" To my well-beloved wife Sarah Finch, one half of the seeler and half ye barn and one third ye homestead during her widowhood and after her deceased or marriage then to my son Joseph.
" To my son Joseph, ye half of my dwelling house, barn, and sealer and two thirds of my Homestead and yt(?) piece of land at Shiphand and half my land under meder not mentioned, etc.
" to my four daughters, Sarah Holly, Martha Mead, Susanna Seeley and Rachael Finch etc."
