13. Samuel3 Davidson (John William2, William1) (#486) was born Legacorry, Shankill, Ireland, United Kingdom 10/10/1736. Samuel died 1784 Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA, at 47 years of age.

He married twice. He married Ann Dunlop Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA, 1755. (Ann Dunlop is #80.) Ann was born 1738. He married Mary Smith Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA, 1760. (Mary Smith is #867.) Mary was born 1745. Mary was the daughter of Smithson. Mary died 4/29/1842 Asheville, Buncombe, North Carolina, USA, at 96 years of age. Killed by Indians

Samuel Davidson and Ann Dunlop had the following children:

35 i. John4 Davidson (#1479) was born Augusta, Virginia, USA 10/20/1757. John died 1832 at 74 years of age. - Note: Samuel Davidson could NOT have been the father of this John Davidson. According to John Davidson's Revolutionary War Service Declaration, John's father died when he was just four (4) years old, which would have been abt. 1761, ruling out this Samuel Davidson as his father.

36 ii. Mary Davidson (#81) was born Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina, USA 1767. She married Gabriel Ragsdale 1787. (Gabriel Ragsdale is #83.) Gabriel was born Halifax, Virginia, USA 1759. Gabriel was the son of Daniel Ragsdale and Phoebe. Gabriel died 1797 Buncombe, North Carolina, USA, at 38 years of age. (See Gabriel Ragsdale for the continuation of this line.)

Samuel Davidson and Mary Smith had the following child:

37 iii. Ruth Davidson (#2848) was born 1765. Ruth died 1826 at 61 years of age. She married James Hazard Wilson 1783. (James Hazard Wilson is #3281.) James was born 1763. James was the son of Thomas Wilson and Katherine Carson. (See James Hazard Wilson for the continuation of this line.)
