Samuel Coe was born about 1672 in Newtown, Long Island to Capt. John Coe. He was married 23 December 1712 at Newtown, Long Island to Margaret VanZandt. He died 19 September 1742 in Kakiat, Orange Co., New York; his will was dated 11 May 1741 and probated 30 Oct. 1742.
