    "Bushnell, Samuel of Saybrook. File No. 858. Inventory of Samll Bushnell Deceased January the 14th in Saybrook, taken 14 Jan. 1689; £411.02.3. Names of those persons next of kin are: Mary Jones, Martha Smith, Hannah Horsmore. Leivt Samuel Jones and Joseph Lee made oath, 25 Mar. 1690. Leivt Samuel Jones presented a nuncupative will of his brother-in-law Samll Bushnell, together with the inventory, and administration was granted to him.

    Stephen Hosmer of Hartford gave receipt, 30 June 1690, to Leif. Samuell Jones of Saybrook, Administrator, for £85.18.7; Jonathan Smith of Weathersfield receipted for £85.4.2.

    Testimony, 22 Sept. 1696. of Ens. John Pratt, aged 50, and of Daniell Taylor, aged 45, both of Saybrook, regarding offer made by Lieut. Samuell Jones to John Bushnell.

    Letter, 8 Nov. 1704, of John Bushnell son of John Bushnell 'Who was Brother to Samuell Bushnell late of Say-Brook, Deceased' to his 'Loveing Cosin Thomas Jones of Say-Brook,' claiming that uncle Samuell had no fee simple in his estate and therefore no power to give it away.

    Robert Chapman and John Clark appraised land 11 Nov. 1704 at desire of 'John Bushnell sune of John Bushnell Late of Saybrook deceast and samuell and Ebenezer Ingon,' and reported that 'the abouesd Land or Wright did Belong to Deekin fraines Bushnll dyeast.'

    John Bushnell applied, 14 Nov. 1704. for administration on estate of his uncle Samll Bushnell late of Saybrook stating that greatest part of estate is in hands of Samll Jones and Thomas Jones, Executors on the estate of Capt. Samll Jones.

    John Bushnell gave acquittance to Thomas Jones, 4 Oct. 1705, for all right in estate of Samuell Bushnell.

    To Sheriff of New London County: Attach ye goods of Samuel Bushnell late of Saybrook dec'd, son of Francis Bushnell of Saybrook, to value of £80, to answer Judgment of General Court in Hartford, 14 May 1696: £50 was due to John Bushnell."
