Samuel Bonser was baptised on 16th July 1732 at Granby in Nottinghamshire. It seems likely that he was the son of Elizabeth Bonser, formerly Harrison, and her husband Henry Bonser, as they seem to have been the only Bonser couple having children at Granby around that time and there is otherwise a large gap between their children. Samuel appears to have died as a baby, being buried eight months after his baptism, on 25th March 1733.
