Samuel Carson moved from Haywood NC/Union GA to Coryell Co TX around 1851. He was a JP in 1854 when the county was formed. Some of Nancy's Queen cousins show up in the Coryell TX county records around that time on petitions, so they apparently migrated together. Around 1857, Samuel Carson, according to family history, became distraught/disillusioned with TX after their youngest son Matthew Carson died and their middle son W.T. Carson son almost died in TX, and he headed back to NC. I don't know if Nancy Queen Carson came to TX with him or not. She died in Jackson Co NC in May 1880 (Caney Fork). She was listed as having lived in that county 23 years (since 1857) at the time of death. Samuel was dec'd before 1870. They are missing in 1860 censuses.

Nancy was living with her dtr Esther Jane Carson Parker in 1870, and living with her nephew Luke Queen in 1880, Jackson NC.

She and Samuel are missing in 1860, either in route back to NC from TX or maybe he died in route.
