According to handwritten family tree records from Louise Moses, Sally was said to have married Squire Carroll. "Sally did not marry until they came to Texas, she (?) Squire Carroll." "Sally was second wife of Squire Carroll (?) By first wife, he had a son named Lonny Martin. His first wife was Martha Dean and they had children, Jim, Bill, and Ida. Martha Dean had a son. He is listed as Benson Martin, age 20, born in MS in 1870 census in Nacogdoches Texas." She also writes that there is a brother named Squire, but it's unclear whether this is Ebenezer's brother or one of his sons. In the 1880 Cherokee County, Texas Census, there is a Marthy Martin listed with the above-mentioned children. Marthy is the head of the household. Perhaps Squire divorced Martha to marry Sally? Perhaps the Squire mentioned was Ebenezer's nephew, and Sally's cousin? If the family tree records are correct, this would seem to be the case, but I'm not sure. Cannot find Benson listed in the 1870 Nacogdoches County, Texas Census.
