"Sally" is on the census in 1850 and seems to be the mother of the 7 youngest children. Her full name appears in the profile of John in the first Bingham book (1927), which also correctly noted that he was a postmaster in 1866.

Based on proximity, names of first two children (William and Mary Jane), and (very distant) DNA results, her parents may be William Bradford Head and Jane Ward.
