    Mrs. Sallie Race, 92, died at Valley View Care Home in Wichita Friday after a prolonged illness.

    Born February 2, 1872 in Bowling Green, Ky., she moved with her parents to a farm north of here [Harvey County] in 1873. She married Columbus Race at Mt. Hope in 1890 and lived here until four years ago when she moved to the rest home.

    She was a member of the Mt. Hope Federated Church.

    Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Herman, Van Nuys, California and Mrs. Harley Caffrey, Sedgwick.

    Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Rev. Boyd E. Bonebrake officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
