    County Pioneer Gano Wimp Dies - Gano Wimp, aged 82 [should read 81], Sedgwick county pioneer, 1143 South Water, died in his home Saturday morning.

    He was born Nov. 14, 1867 in Meade county, Kentucky, and came to the Mt. Hope community in 1873. He moved to Olathe, Kan., in 1905 and came to Wichita in 1921.

    He was a member of the Baptist church, and Wichita lodge 99, A. F. & A. M.

    Survivng are his wife, Amanda, daughter, Helen Ruth, and son, Everett, all at home; sisters, Mrs. Sally Race, Mt. Hope, Mrs. Grace Howell, Los Angeles, and Mrs. H. L. Coffrey [May Caffrey], Sedgwick,; brothers, W. P., 308 East Kellogg, C. [Coulson] G., 501 Shirk, and Frank, 4608 Maple and a granddaughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Buscher, 751 Sylvan lane.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Broadway Mortuary chapel, Rev. Doyle Taylor, Immanuel Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
