    Mrs. Frank A. Howell.

Alice M. Wimp, daughter of J. A. and Jamima Wimp, was born at Mt. Hope, Kansas, [actually 4 miles north, in Harvey County, Kansas] August 2, 1881, and departed this life September 5, 1939, at the age of 58 years, one month and three days.

On October 11, 1898 she was united in marriage to Frank A. Howell at Wichita, Kansas. Soon after their marriage they moved to Ohio where they lived with the groom's parents until February 4, 1899, after which they moved on their farm, two miles west of West Sonora. They made their home there for 21 years, after which they moved to Mt. Hope, Kansas. They resided in that community for 15 years, where she was an active leader in community life and a past matron of Mt. Olivet chapter, Order of Eastern Star. On February 2, 1935 they moved to Arkansas where they lived two years and then returned to Lewisburg, Ohio, where they lived at the time of her death.

Soon after their marriage she was united with the Christian church at Twin Creek Chapel, but at the time of her death was a member of the U. B. church at Lewisburg.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, two children Mrs. Opal Price, of Dayton, Ohio, and Clifford, of Piedmont, Kansas; three sisters and four brothers, all of whom lived in Kansas, and five grandchildren. Duane Howell had made his home with his grandparents since a small child.

She was a kind and loving wife and mother.
