2011-Obituary dated 13 Sep 2011 in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Ryan James Palmer, 17, died Monday, September 5th, 2011 at UMASS Medical Center from complications of an injury which occurred at the young age of two. He leaves his father, Peter B. Palmer and his wife Geri of Ann Arbor, MI; his mother, Michele (Aldred) Palmer of West Boylston; two sisters, Casey and Christi Palmer of West Boylston; two step-sisters, Amy and Mary and two step-brothers, Jarrod and Daniel. Ryan also leaves his paternal grandmother, Dorothea Aldred of Tewksbury; a special aunt, Cheryl Keefe and family of Tewksbury; his Godmother, Judy Corbett and family of Sterling; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Palmer, his paternal grandfather, James Palmer of Sharon, CT who recently passed away on August 19th, maternal grandfather, James Aldred, two uncles, James and Ronald Aldred, a cousin Derek Aldred and friend Christopher Jones. Ryan was born in Sharon, CT on May 20, 1994. He attended school at Seven Hills in Groton, MA, where he has resided for the last several years. Ryan was an avid Boston sports fan, loved swimming, music and spending time with his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Ryan's family would like to thank the Special Education Department in West Boylston and all of his nurses and staff at Seven Hills. A special thank you to Barbara and Missy for the loving and devoted care they gave to Ryan. The funeral will be held on Friday, September 9 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston Street with a Mass at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 8 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ryan's memory to the Pediatric Center at Seven Hills, 22 Hillside Avenue, Groton, MA 01450. |
