RUTHANNA LAUGHNER, 77, Frankfort, died at 12:20 a.m. May 12, 1999, at Clinton County Hospital.
Mrs. Laughner had worked at the Jules Simon Co., and as a cook at the Frankfort Nursing Home. She was a Kirklin High School graduated, and longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She was born September 28, 1921, in Clinton County, to Hurlis W. and Louisa M. Gray Peak. She married Clayton O. Laughner on Oct. 7, 1939, and he died Oct. 25, 1991.
She is survived by a son, Dennis, of Frankfort; five daughters, Nina Perry, Stella Carter and Brenda Hall, all of Frankfort, Thelma Faust of Forest, and Joyce Foster of Terre Haute; a brother, Charles Peak of rural Frankfort; four sisters, Margaret Biddle and Betty Hurt, both of Frankfort, Geneva Lashbrook of Colfax, and Mary Gross Conley of Winamac; 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with Pastor Ed Eby officiating.
Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
