Marilyn retired from First of America Bank and was a longtime Sparrow Volunteer.
Survivors include children, Terry (Tina) Olmstead, Tammy (Ray) Kussmaul, Faith (Kim) Peterson, Connie (Richard) Clark; 11 grand children; 4 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Olmstead in 1992 and her son, Roger Olmstead in 2007.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, with the Rev. Ernestine Griffin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Marilyn, may be made to the Michigan Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.
