Ruth Triplett, born 1817 in Adair County, Ky., married John Flanigan, 3 October, 1833 in Russell County, Ky. He was a minister and a shoemaker. They had 13 children. He died September, 1869 in Jasper Township, in Crawford County, Ark. Ruth died there after 1880. 8 children were born in Russell County, Ky. 1-Byron, born 1835, married Phebe Ruth14 October, 1855 in Putnam Co., Mo. 2-William born 1836, went to Mont. 3-Millie, born 1837, married Daniel Johns 4 January, 1855 in Putnam County, Mo. 4-Nathan, born 1838, married Sarah A. Maxley 14 January,1855 in Putnam County, Mo. Three children were born to them in Sullivan County, Mo., then they moved to Lees Creek, Ark., where 6 children were born to them. 5-Anthony, born 2 September, 1839, married Nancy Jane Guffey 2 March, 1862 in Unionville, Mo. She was born 28 August, 1845 in Putnam Co., Mo. to John McDonald and Sarah Guffey. They moved to Sullivan Co., Mo. where 12 children were born to them. He died 21November, 1920 and she 28 May, 1926. 6-Lloyd, born 1840. 7-Charles,born 1841, married Eliza Powell 5 August, 1861 in Crawford County, Ark., He was in the Civil War. John and Ruth Flanigan moved to Hartford, Putnam County, Mo. where the next 5 children were born to them, then in 1868 they moved to Crawford County, Ark. 8-Martha, born 1842. 9-John, born 4 December 1848, married Martha Boggs 16 December, 1869 in Crawford County, Ark. Martha was born in 1849 in Tenn. Their 8 children were born in Lees Creek, Crawford County, Ark. 10-Mary, born 1851. 11-Nancy, born 1853, married John Reed. 12-Elizabeth, born 1856, married W.E. Spoon. 13-Daniel, born 1858, married Adeline Spoon 29, November, 1879 in Crawford County, Ark. 14-Phebe Ann, born 1862, married Clement Morton.
