Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - December 26, 1995 RUTH ESTEB No service will be held for Ruth Esteb, who died Dec. 15, 1995, at age 78. Mrs. Esteb was born June 13, 1917, in Ishpeming, Mich. She attended Gogebic College in Ironwood, Mich., for two years before moving to Oregon, where she married Virgil Esteb in 1941. They lived in Eugene until 1963, when they retired to the San Diego area. Mr. Esteb died in 1992. Mrs. Esteb spent the last six years in the Portland-Beaverton area. She was a needlework artist. Surviving are daughters, Sally Cureton of Alexandria, Va., and Nancy Esteb of Portland; brothers, John Shimondle of Edmonds, Wash., and Don Shimondle of Cadott, Wis.; and sister, Sister Loretta Shimondle of Manitowoc, Wis. The family suggests remembrances be to the Alzheimer's Association.
