link Ruth2(John1) bp 7 Mar 1640/1; undoubtedly the Ruth Moulton who m. at Hampton 3 Apr 1660 Peter Johnson. Mr Jones states that she perhaps d. young since she was not mentioned in her father's will (Essex Institute, [Old] Norfolk Co. Mass Records 1:11-13). Howeverf, the woman of that name who m. Peter Johnson could not have been her aunt Ruth b ca. 1617, for Peter was bp. at Winnacunnet (later Hampton) early in 1639, and he and his wife had four children b between 1663 and 1674. Of the two other Moultons in Hampton at the time, WIlliam had Ruth b 7 May 1659 and Thomas did not have a daughter by that name.
