Obit found at the WCGS Records Room, Warren Co, OH. It was contributed by Ruth J. Fisli, 9414 Hidden Valley Circle, Sun city, AZ 85351.

"Mrs. Ruth E. Jackson, 100, of 311 East Center Street, Blanchester, believed to be Clinton County's oldest resident, died of senility at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Iva M. Hixon, Saturday at 7:30 A.M. She was ill one week.

The daughter of Thomas and Mahala Osborn Morris, she was born near Edenton, November 3, 1845, and was a member of the Blanchester Methodist Church. she had resided within a 10 mile radius of Blanchester during her entire life.

Mrs. Jackson's husband, Salathiel, who served with the 17th Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War, died in 1918. She served as a nurse's aid during the war.

She was educated in a little school at Shiloh in Clermont county and following the war taught school.

In addition to Mrs. Hixon, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. olive Sharp, Blanchester; two sons, T. M. Jackson, Blanchester, and J. E. Jackson, Lakeland, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. H. J. Holcombe at the Hannah Funeral Home, Blanchester, Monday at 2 P.M. Interment will be in the Blanchester cemetery.

The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call."
