Abstract:
Ruth M. (Mitchell) Overton, age 85, formerly of Roeland Park, Kan., residing in Alvin, Texas, for the last two years; born 5 Nov. 1924, in Winfield, Kan.; died Thursday, 5 Aug. 2010 at home. She was clerk for the U.S. Post Office and a member of the Methodist faith.

Preceded in death by parents, Magness and Rose Mitchell; and husband, Delbert Wesley Overton. Survived by daughters, Sharon Oubouzar (Virginia) and Sydney Overton (Kansas); son, Wes (Paulette) Overton (Alvin, Texas); sister, Pearl Swanson; brother, Richard (Gisela) Mitchell; sister-in-law, Helen (Robert) Higgins; and seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, 21 Aug. 2010 at Resurrection Cemetery, 83rd Street and Quivira, Lenexa, Kan. Arranged by Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, MO.
