    Abstract:

    Delbert W. Overton, age 59, residing at 5416 W. 50th, Roeland Park, died Wednesday [1 Nov. 1978] at St. Luke's Hospital. He was a Marine veteran of World War II; member of R.C. Connie Burns American Legion Post, and Wyandotte Count Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans; and clerk for Shawnee Mission Postal Service, Mission branch, for 28 years, retired in 1978.

    Survived by wife, Mrs. Ruth M. Overton (of the home); son, Delbert W. Overton II (of the home); daughter, Mrs. Sharon Oubouzar (McLean, Va.); daughter, Miss Sydney Overton (Overland Park); mother, Mrs. Irene Faye Overton (Newton, Kan.); brother, Norbey Overton (Plainwell, Mich.); brother, Herbert L. Overton (Newton, Kan.); sister, Mrs. Helen Higgins (Olathe); and two grandchildren.

    Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. today [3 Nov. 1978] at Muehlebach Chapel. Funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday [4 Nov. 1978] at the chapel. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa.
