Ruth C. Neiling, 85, of Deshler, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at Vancrest Healthcare Center, in Holgate.
She was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Shelby, OH, to A.L. and Laura (Maag) Crumrine. On Nov. 9, 1946, she married Clarence J. Neiling in New Bavaria, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2000.
She was homemaker and worked at the former Koppenhofer Bros. Poultry and Deshler Products/Sherwin Williams. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Deshler, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 8847 Auxiliary, in New Bavaria.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (William) Henning, of Bowling Green; Marilyn (David) Kihm, of Bluffton; Marie {Richard) Feehan, of Bowling Green, and Shirley (Raymond) Gerschutz, of Leipsic; sons, Edward (Deborah) and Joseph, both of Deshler, and Larry (Nancy), of Mauldin, S.C.; sisters. Mae Brown, of Leipsic, and Rita (Robert) Layne, of Defiance; brother, Clifford Crumrine, of New Bavaria; 16 grand-children, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Gilbert, and Virgil Crumrine.
