- ↑ "BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Russell O. Blosser Sr., 75, of Bloomington andformerly of Canton, Ill. and Bryan, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, Nov.17, 2004, at BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, Ill. Born Sept. 14, 1929,in Williams County, Ohio, to Nina (Campbell) and Park Blosser, hemarried Lucille C. Thiel of Blakeslee, Ohio, on May 29, 1948, at Angola,Ind. and she preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 2004. He was a World WarII Army veteran and was formerly manager of the Gamble Store in Bryanand other cities. Survivors include three children, Mrs. David (Diana)Meece of Bloomington, Russell (and wife, Kathryn) Blosser of Topeka,Kan. and James (Lisa Ann) Blosser of Lawrence, Kan.; four grandchildren;three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Fockler of Defiance,Ohio, Pauline Merillat of Bryan and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Woodring ofLyons, Ohio; and a brother, Lewis (Mabel) Blosser of Celina, Ohio. Hewas preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Mattes, and a brother, HershelBlosser. His funeral was held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Carmody-FlynnWilliamsburg Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church,Bloomington. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington."
