MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR to this early collection who was in personal communications with her grandfather --- Mrs. Ruby (Graham) Driskell amassed a large genealogy, incl., Braucht data that I sometimes recorded as Braught. Eliz. Sayre Braucht (Mrs. Daniel Braucht) lived with her after her husband (Ruby's grandfather), Daniel died Dec.1899, gave Ruby her family Bible and much direct oral record of the family! See Ruby Driskell folder in files. One of the large files that Ruby shared with me was a transcription of her grandfather's ( Daniel Braught, son of Adam, Sr) diary notes. Her personal assurance of the reliability of her grandfather's family has repeatedly given me the confidence to resist claims of other lineage (and that path consistently proved to be reconfirmed) We talked via phone many times, but I have saved several of her letters and notes that helped direct much of my early research regarding the family in the early 1800s. Most of the documentations I found later were supportive of the accuracy of most of her records. I so regret that she died before we had more time to share data. She was a facinating and delightful lady who I admired from afar.
