Obituary

The news of the death of Mrs. Rosa E. Kellstadt at her home on Mound Street, Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock was a shock to the many friends of the deceased, especially the older residents, among whom she has spent the greater part of her useful life.
Rosa Elizabeth Kellstadt was the daughter of Jacob and Rosa Bowers, and was born in Baden, Germany, coming to this country a few years later and settling in this county.
On February 15, 1845, she was married to Jacob Kellstadt by Rev. Joseph Roof, pastor of Trinity German Lutheran church in this city.
With the exception of several years in the county, Mrs. Kellstadt has been a resident of Circleville since her marriage, and has been from early childhood a member of the German Lutheran Church, taking an active interest in all church work.
Mrs. Kellstadt leaves her husband, Jacob Kellstadt, and ten children, Elizabeth, Michael, Rosa, Jacob, George, Margaret, Catherine, Matilda, Henry, William and Martha to mourn her death, while three children, Charles, Martin and one other have preceded their mother in death. One brother of the deceased, Mr. George Bowers, is a prominent farmer in Walnut township. Mrs. Kellstadt has been in failing health for the past three years, but had not been seriously ill until June 14, when her condition grew worse, ending in her death.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock, standard time, from Trinity Lutheran church.

Rosina's will was written 18 Mar 1890, codicil 18 Mar 1890, probated 27 Feb 1904. Her husband, Jacob, and children, Elizabeth Kellstadt (formerly Noggle), Michael Kellstadt, Rosa Dunkel, Jacob Kellstadt, Margareth Ebert, Catherine Wholaver, Matilda Wegerly, Henry Kellstadt, William Kellstadt, Mattie J. Fry, and George Kellstadt, deceased in 1890, his daughter, Clara Kellstadt.
