Medical: Suffered a stroke at 65 years of age.

According to Roseli's obituary of 1909, she was born in Baden Baden, Germany and moved to this country when she was 20 years old, arriving in Newark, NJ. She met Mr. W.C. Beckman and was united in marriage with him in 1853. They came west and purchased a farm in Sioux, County in 1885. Some years later they retired from the farm moved to Hull. In 1897 she suffered a stroke and was cared for by her daughter, Rose, until her death. She was raised in the Catholic faith but later changed to Lutheran. Her obituary states that she was the mother of six (6) children, four boys and two girls. Fred, Godfrey, Henry, Frank, Mollie and Rose.
