    Rosa Palmer, 90, of Bergholz, died October 7 in Carroll Health Care Center at Carrollton following a long illness. Born February 7, 1900 in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Newton and Minnie (Guess) Ray. She and her husband, Ralph, who died in November 1973, had co-owned and operated the Sohio Station in Bergholz from 1942 to 1973. She was a member of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church.
    Surviving are two sons, Edwin of Bergholz and Raymond of Georgetown, South Carolina; a daughter, Mrs. John (Elsie) McCauley of Mechanicstown; a sister, Nina Moreland of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Hazel Palmer and Edna Powelson, died in 1982 and 1957, respectively. A brother, Jesse Ray, is also deceased. Services were held Wednesday in Everhart Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hukill officiating. Burial was in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
