1880 census-Rosa M; 11 mos; born NC
1900 Census - this census shows several interesting items: Rosa is listed as a Phillips indicating that she was married, however, she is listed as being single though she is the mother of 2 with only 1 child living. The one living child is William M listed on this same census and in the same household with Martha and Rosa; he is listed as Martha's grandson and he is listed as a McCoy, not a Phillips or a Tester. This census also shows her birth date as Mar 1875 - 4 yrs and 3 mos earlier than the records of the proof of birth and all the other affidavits included in the Civil War Pension records of her parents.
