Fenimore April 4, 1912 – Nov. 28, 2003 Ronald E. Fenimore, 91, 401 N. Virgil St., Akron, died at 6:55 a.m. Friday at Life Care Center, Rochester. He had been in failing health one year. Born in Rochester to Forrest and Audrey Kindig Fenimore, he married Jeanette E. Barnes on Dec. 24, 1935, in Huntington. She died Jan. 21, 1995. He was a Chevrolet car salesman for Bahney, now Gagnon, Chevrolet in Akron for more than 25 years and was given the Chevy League of Winners award. Mr. Fenimore was a member of Akron United Methodist Church, where he was the custodian several years, and of the Rochester Masonic Lodge. He was president of the Akron Town Board and a founding member of the Akron Emergency Medical Service. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Kruger and husband David, Akron; one son, Lynn A. and wife Janice, Pembroke Pines, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ronald Kruger and Stephen Kruger, Akron, Jane Conley, Akron, and Shandra Fenimore, Daytona Beach, Fla.; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Donnabelle Beavers, Flat Rock, N.C.; and one brother, Vance and wife Kay, Leesburg, Fla. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine and Ferrel. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. Stevan Haiflich officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Africa University Scholarship Fund, in care of Akron United Methodist Church. |
