Well-tailored Mexican actor/producer/playwright Romney Brent appeared in British films from 1936 onward. Usually cast as an indeterminate-origin foreigner, Brent appeared in such major productions as East Meets West (1936), and Under the Red Robe (1937). He both co-starred in and wrote the dialogue for the 1937 Anglo-American espionager Dinner at the Ritz (1937).
