Winn, age 90, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006, in Arcata, Calif. Roma was born March 22, 1916 in Montpelier, Idaho.She has been a long time resident of Chico, where she was formerly a professor of Child Development at California State University, Chico. Roma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served faithfully in numerous positions. She was also instrumental in helping to establish the original Head Start Programs in the Chico area.Roma was preceded in death by her husband, N. Field Winn. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Denis and Ila Winn of Chico; a sister, Jean Kunz, of Ogden, Utah; six grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren and countless friends.Family graveside services and interment will be held July 14, 2006 at Tooele, Utah. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., July 20, 2006, at the LDS Stake Center, corner of East and Mariposa Avenues in Chico. EVEN: Record
