Klevar, vest for Heddalsvannet.

English translation (with help from Google translate): Rolleiv is mentioned in land accounts from 1593 to 1645. He was a large landowner. In 1603, he owned 23 tønner 4 mæler of land in several villages. He signed with "his own hand" a lease contract in 1623. With timber sales and sawmill operations he increased his fortune, so that in 1624 he owned 51 tønner of land, most of it freehold. Thus he handed over freehold land to his children. The last time he was mentioned, in 1644, he still had 17 tønner 2 mæler of land.

Rolleiv is referred to in a series of unpublished documents. His seal exists on several documents. Among others, he used one that originates from Vrålstad that descendants of Hallvard Gråtopp used. In any case, the same family owned Klevar from the 1300's up to today.

Klevar is west from Heddal water. The farm was cleared in the early Iron Age. The name is the plural of klif, kleiv - steep mountain side. All Klevar was ancestral lands of the people at Lindheim, but was run by tenant farmers [until Rolleiv's father lived there for a while and then Rolleiv took over].

Dette nemner biskop Jens Nilssøn to gonger i visitasbøkene sine for åra 1574-97 ...
Det syner seg at bispen nyttar uttrykket svoger fleire gonger i det some bokverket i meininga svigerson og ikkje i den tydinga me brukar ordet. ...

translation: Rolleiv Anundsson from northern Lindheim farmed at Klevar from the late 1500's. He was married to NN Larsdatter of Tordenstjern lineage (daughter of the parish pastor in Sauherad). Rolleiv was also married to Dorte Jonsdatter from Gvannes. ...
There is something unclear about Rolleiv's marriages. It is completely certain that he was married before 1595 and that he was "svoger" to the pastor Lauritz Matsøn in Sauherad. Bishop Jens Nilssøn mentions this twice in his visitation books for the years 1574 to 1597. ...
It can be shown that the bishop uses the term "svoger" several times in the books meaning son-in-law and not in the sense that we use the word [as brother-in-law].

The author goes on to explain why he believes that Rolleiv was the son-in-law of Lauritz Matsøn and not his brother-in-law.
