Obituary

Rolla Sloan (5/11/1976) Rolla N. Sloan, 68, died Monday evening at his home in Hamilton. Born in Caldwell County near Cameron, Mr. Sloan had resided in the area most of his life until moving to Hamilton 11 years ago. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine Sloan of the home; two sons, Gerald Sloan, Cameron and Burton Sloan, Independence; a daughter Mrs. Avanell Dedman, Plattsburg; two brothers, Hugh Sloan, LaVerne, Calif., and Vern Sloan, Cameron; two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Orr, Cameron and Mrs. Ethel Fort, Kingston, and six grandchildren. The funeral was Friday at 2 at the Cameron United Methodist Church. Rev. George Moore officiated. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Cameron.
