Roger H. Naus, 42, of 703 Bristol Ave., was reported dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was born Dec. 29, 1910, in Union Township, Auglaize County, the son of Emmett and Florence Hullinger Naus, Route 3, Wapakoneta.
Mr. Naus was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, it official board and finance commission. He was a clerk in the purchasing department at the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp. He came to Lima in 1945 after operating a grocery in Harrod about eight years.
A graduate of Blume High School, Wapakoneta, in 1928, he was active in athletics in high school as well as during recent years.
He was married June 15, 1931, to Rowena Oswald, who survives. Besides his widow and parents, he is survived by a son, Roger Junior, a senior at DePauw University, Greencastle, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Prager, Springfield; Mrs. Blanche Gould, Columbus, and Mrs. Sarahbelle Steinke, address unknown; a brother, Grant, Coronado, Calif.
The body will remain in the Bayliff Funeral Home, Cridersville, until services at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wesley Church. The Rev. Dwight Woodworth will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
